Casa Macaria
Only 12 miles outside of Puerto Escondido, near the Tomatal lagoon you will find Casa Macaria, a beautiful house to rent with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. In this very tranquil place, off the beaten path, you can watch the pelicans and other local bird species of birds, turtles and dolphins suddenly appear without warning, and if you come in winter you are sure to see whales gracefully passing by the bay. The house was named "Casa Macaria" in honor of the master builder Macario, who constructed the palapas, and is a true Oaxacan artist in his own right. These beautiful palapas, naturally incorporated into this amazing deserted beach on the Pacific coast, create wonderful shade and ambience for the dining and living rooms, as well as for the four individual suites, surrounded by tropical greenery. The combined work of architects Nacho Urquiza and Bernie Quinzaños, together with Macario’s artistry, resulted in this quite spectacular beachfront residence, a perfect get-away for a great vacation. Casa Macaria is located just 25 minutes from Puerto Escondido’s International Airport and 70 minutes from Huatulco, another popular tourist destination on the Oaxacan coast of Mexico. The vacation home is comprised of 4 lovely suites overlooking the Pacific Ocean, each with its own particular color scheme. The pink suite offers a king-size bed and two single beds, a shower and a terrace. The blue suite provides a queen-size bed and a single, its own terrace and a wonderful large tub in the bathroom. The yellow suite located upstairs, is furnished with two queen-sized beds and one single, a deck with private terrace and a spectacular view of the mountains from a large soaking tub. And finally, the bungalow hidden among the lush vegetation has a king-size bed, its own terrace and also a lounge area. You can enjoy dinner at a long table which seats up to 18 people while taking in the gorgeous views of the Sierra Madre Mountains and the ocean. Relax any time of the day or evening with a drink in the bar area overlooking the sea or catch up on your reading with a favorite book under the pergola next to the lovely swimming pool. And don’t worry about being out of touch with the rest of the world; the house also provides satellite television, internet and cellular signal for mobile phones. We do the utmost to ensure a wonderfully relaxing holiday with the skillful attention of our 4 staff members, a cook, maid, gardener and chauffeur, who are all happy to attend to your needs.
